The Palmer Center in Independence, Missouri, is hosting a range of events throughout May, including educational sessions, community activities, and cultural excursions. Held at 218A N. Pleasant Street, the center offers programs for enrichment and social interaction.
One of the first events in May is a May Day Celebration. Attendees on May 1 can learn about May Day traditions and participate in a craft session. Outdoor enthusiasts can look forward to a visit to YaYa’s Alpaca Farm on June 25. The event deadline for registration is May 23, and the visit includes learning opportunities about alpaca fiber, as well as lunch.
The Palmer Center also provides resources for low vision assistance, with equipment to help those in need, and can give more information alongside co-sponsor MO Rehab Services for the Blind.
