Later, on April 7, 2025, Cleaver criticized the president’s focus amid economic struggles faced by families in Missouri. He tweeted, "While Missourians’ retirement portfolios continue to plummet, the president is focused on golf. Completely out of touch and deeply disrespectful to families that are hurting due to his incompetent economic policy."
