Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, representing Missouri’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress since 2005, has recently shared his views on several topics through social media posts. Cleaver addressed issues regarding the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and celebrated the Kansas City Chiefs' football season.

On February 10, 2025, Rep. Cleaver expressed his stance against actions taken by the Trump Administration concerning the CFPB. He stated, "Last week, I joined @USHouseFSC and more than 75 @HouseDemocrats in demanding the Trump Administration end their unlawful stop work order at the @CFPB." He further mentioned opposition to efforts by Elon Musk and Donald Trump to defund this agency.

In another post on the same day, Cleaver highlighted the achievements of the CFPB and criticized attempts to dismantle it. He wrote, "The @CFPB has returned MORE than $21 BILLION to consumers." Cleaver attributed these dismantling efforts to a desire by certain groups to enable Wall Street's continued profitability at consumers' expense.

Cleaver also commented on sports matters later that day. Reflecting on the Kansas City Chiefs' recent season, he remarked, "It wasn’t the ending we all imagined, but it was another heck of a season for the @Chiefs and #ChiefsKingdom." He expressed gratitude towards those involved with the team and conveyed optimism about future successes.
