Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri's 5th district, has recently shared his perspectives on several pressing issues via social media. Cleaver, who succeeded Karen McCarthy in 2005 and holds a degree from Prairie View A&M University, utilized Twitter to communicate his concerns and initiatives.

On February 6, 2025, Rep. Cleaver highlighted efforts to restore funding for critical medical research into conditions such as cancer and Alzheimer’s. He provided additional information through a link for those interested in learning more about these initiatives. "Find more information about our push to reinstate funding for critical medical research on conditions like cancer and Alzheimer’s here: https://t.co/01nhCHUAef"

Later that day, Cleaver expressed criticism of former President Donald Trump’s foreign policy approach. He remarked on the negative impact Trump's actions have had on international relationships crucial for maintaining global freedom and democracy. "While Donald Trump tries to bully our allies, straining critical relationships that are essential to defending freedom and democracy globally, dictators around the world are cheering him on."

In another post on February 6, Rep. Cleaver voiced concerns over privacy issues related to Elon Musk's influence under the Trump administration and Congressional Republicans. He warned against what he perceives as dangerous power dynamics involving unelected individuals with potential conflicts of interest having access to Americans' personal information."Americans should not have to worry about their personal information being handed over to an unelected, unaccountable billionaire with numerous conflicts of interest... But President Trump and Congressional Republicans have handed power over to Elon Musk."
