Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri's 5th district since 2005, recently shared his views on a range of issues via social media posts.

On January 27, 2025, Cleaver commemorated International Holocaust Remembrance Day by mourning the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust. He emphasized the importance of continuing to fight against antisemitism and ensuring that "the horrors of the Holocaust are never minimized or forgotten." "On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we mourn the six million Jewish people who were killed during the Holocaust."

Later that day, he addressed housing reform, noting that "The American people are clamoring for bipartisan reforms that will expand access to affordable housing." Cleaver expressed his honor in joining Bipartisan Policy Center's Honorary Congressional Council to work towards breaking congressional gridlock and reducing housing costs. "Honored to join @BPC_Bipartisan's Honorary Congressional Council as we seek to break congressional gridlock and lower housing costs For The People!"

In another post from January 27, 2025, Cleaver criticized former President Trump's attempts to remove Inspectors General (IGs), calling it "unlawful and unacceptable." He stated that Congress had provided protections for IGs to ensure they remain independent and nonpartisan while maintaining transparency with the American public. "President Trump’s attempt to purge dozens of IGs is unlawful and unacceptable."
