Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri's 5th district, shared his views on recent developments through a series of tweets on November 18, 2024. These posts addressed topics ranging from public health to economic policies and legislative initiatives.

On November 18, 2024, Rep. Cleaver highlighted a report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicating a significant decline in street drug deaths across the United States. He stated, “Street drug deaths in the U.S. are dropping at the fastest rate ever seen, according to a new report issued on Thursday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.” He acknowledged that while this is positive news, more efforts are needed to safeguard communities.

Later that day, Rep. Cleaver criticized economic strategies that prioritize tax cuts for wealthy individuals and large corporations at the expense of essential services for working-class families. He remarked, "Cutting nutrition assistance and healthcare for working class families in order to pay for massive tax cuts for the wealthiest 1% and giant corporations." He described these policies as part of "the same failed trickle-down economics" that have historically increased income inequality.

In another tweet posted on November 18, 2024, Rep. Cleaver provided information about his legislative initiative known as the Good DEED Act. The brief message invited followers to learn more about this act through an external link: "Find more information about my Good DEED Act here:"
