Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, currently serving Missouri's 5th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently expressed his views on various national issues through a series of tweets. Representing his constituents since 2005, Cleaver's statements address topics ranging from healthcare reforms to executive actions and their implications.

On January 21, 2025, Rep. Cleaver highlighted the impact of the Inflation Reduction Act on medication costs for Americans. He stated, "Thanks to @HouseDemocrats, millions of Americans are seeing thousands in savings on their medications as the Inflation Reduction Act caps out-of-pocket prescription costs at $2,000 per month." He reaffirmed commitment to lowering costs for citizens.

The following day, January 22, Cleaver addressed concerns regarding legislative priorities under President Trump’s administration. He commented that "As President Trump announces many unconstitutional Executive Orders, it’s important to pay attention to Republicans in Congress that are fighting to pass another massive tax cut that overwhelmingly benefits the billionaire class—paid for by cuts to programs for working families."

Later that same day, Cleaver criticized a recent decision by President Trump regarding legal pardons. He remarked that "President Trump pardoning the criminals who attacked our democracy and assaulted Capitol Police Officers is disgraceful." Cleaver warned about the potential consequences of such actions on political violence and democratic stability.
