Wednesday, Feb. 26: Grain Valley High School standout Caden Matlon’s college team wins to Youngstown State Penguins

On Wednesday, Feb. 26, former Grain Valley High School standout Caden Matlon’s current college team, the Akron Zips, won 11-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Youngstown State Penguins.

The game took place at Skeeles Field. This was their first matchup against the Penguins this season.

The Zips’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. at Ting Stadium against Purdue Boilermakers.
