He praised their contributions by saying, "Our nation is a better place because of the work that you do every day," recognizing their role in preparing future generations with essential skills.

Emanuel Cleaver has been serving as a U.S. Congressman since replacing Karen McCarthy in 2005. Born in Waxahachie, Texas, in 1944 and currently residing in Kansas City, he holds a BS degree from Prairie View A&M University obtained in 1972.
