Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 5th district since 2005, recently posted a series of statements on social media criticizing Republican economic policies and advocating for bipartisan solutions to national issues.

Later that day, Cleaver highlighted his efforts to address housing affordability in collaboration with other lawmakers. He wrote on September 18, 2025: "Had a great discussion with @USRepMikeFlood & @Up4Growth about our bipartisan work to address America’s national housing affordability crisis. The American people are demanding action to lower the cost of housing—and we won’t stop fighting to make that a reality."

On September 19, 2025, Cleaver reiterated his opposition to certain Republican initiatives affecting healthcare costs. He stated: "Democrats will not support the reckless Republican assault on Americans’ healthcare, including the partisan CR that will drive up prices for Missouri families. The GOP must come back to the table & negotiate a bipartisan budget bill that lowers costs & meets the needs of our".
