Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, who has been serving Missouri’s 5th District in the U.S. Congress since 2005, shared a series of tweets addressing concerns and providing resources for his constituents. These tweets touch on issues ranging from communication with his office to broader political and economic matters affecting the region.

On February 4, 2025, Rep. Cleaver encouraged constituents to reach out to his office for assistance. He stated, "You can also always reach out to my office at 816-842-4545 or by sending me an email at the link below. We’ll do our best to provide you with the available and appropriate information."

In another tweet posted on the same day, Rep. Cleaver expressed concern over actions by the Trump Administration regarding federal workers. He noted, "With more than 40,000 federal workers in #MO05 and 80,000 across the region, I know many of our neighbors are concerned about the Trump Administration’s attempt to purge civil servants." He mentioned that his office is seeking clarification on these efforts and provided additional resources for those affected.

Later that day, Rep. Cleaver addressed trade relations between Missouri and Canada in a subsequent tweet. He remarked on the importance of this relationship by stating, "Missouri sells more goods to Canada than its next 5 largest foreign markets combined." While he acknowledged President Biden's decision to pause tariffs on Canada as a positive step, he urged for a permanent resolution to maintain strong economic ties.
